Like F&F, FHLB leadership teams are motivated to maximize profits. A permanent solution to address the ongoing issues with Fannie Mae, Freddy Mac, and the Federal Home Loan Banks should, therefore, include the creation of what I will dub a “GSE Board” staffed by government employees.
