Traffic calming has been a revolutionary treatment in sustainable mobility focused transportation for the last 20+ years. Most people probably think of it as speed bumps, but there are many different treatments.

Georgia introduced a new way to create transportation districts, then expected people to vote up or down in less than a year (" Failure of the transit-roads sales tax measure in Metro Atlanta ," 2012). Let alone vote on it. I wrote a bunch about failures of transit referenda in Tampa Bay and the State of Georgia in the 2010s.

It's nice to see Democrats pick up the State House in Virginia and keep the Senate. In the 2017 and 2019 elections, I thought Democratic wins in Virginia presaged a lot more. The election results seem to reduce that likelihood significantly. I'm finally learning not to prognosticate too much. Richmond, Virginia. Conclusion.
