Canada’s Defence Research and Development Canada (DRDC) freed up 25TB of space with Amazon S3 Defence Research and Development Canada (DRDC) is the science and technology organization of Canada’s Department of National Defence (DND). CBSA was able to complete the transfer in less than half a day using Amazon S3 Batch Operations.

Within two days, IRCC’s in-house developed scripts were adjusted and optimized to work on a fleet of 200 Amazon EC2 instances. This initiative not only addressed a critical operational challenge but also set a new benchmark for what is achievable with cloud technology, completing in days what was once took months.
