Yard signs definitely need to be added to the mix. The City of Salt Lake uses yard signs, banners at parks, and for some issues, like budget hearings flyers, to get the word out, along with postings on NextDoor and Reddit, Twitter feeds, etc.

As bathrooms became more prevalent in housing and as local government budgets declined and demands increased, provision of public restrooms was one of the first services to be eliminated. This is common for many cities--no public restrooms. Early on cities had public restrooms and baths because much of housing did not.

That scandalizes my MIL, but I'm not about to get into a debate with her about how the car companies and their allies changed the definition of street to be car centric instead of people centered.
