Suicide rates among veterans continued to climb from 2001 to 2018 before dipping back for 2019 and 2020. To optimize for SSS’s budget and modest data volume, we’ve developed a custom AWS Lambda image capable of running Apache Spark within the runtime. The suicide rate among veterans is still 1.5 veterans dying by suicide every day.

Arts Festival and fundraiser, Uintah Elementary School, Salt Lake City. Although many of the schools do art festivals in the Spring, doing great projects as fundraisers. Students, parents, and teachers participating in a clean up of the school grounds, Wasatch Elementary School, Salt Lake. Schools as fundamental neighborhood anchors.

Plus, I announced new initiatives from AWS to support nonprofits in developing innovative solutions and scaling their impact with technology. Since the program’s inception in 2018, AWS has awarded grants to 66 nonprofit organizations with missions ranging from food security and housing, to maternal healthcare and social justice.
