Priority Based Business Planning and Budgeting – Strathcona County’s PBB budget process provides a tool for allocating resources within a broader and all encompassing StrategicPlan and Business Planning framework. At the same time, we were successful in maintaining service levels and improving infrastructure.
For the next several months I’ll be concentrating on writing the fifth edition of StrategicPlanning for Public and Nonprofit Organizations. From the very first edition I have emphasized that strategic thinking, acting, and learning matter most, not any particular approach to strategicplanning.
My writings on daypart planning (" Planning programming by daypart, month, season: and Boston Winter Garden, DC's Holiday Market, etc. ," 2016) are relevant to parks planning too. Plan for time of day and day of the week sure. But plan for four seasons of activity, depending on the park and its location.
