Somehow I came across a program by the museum which had community members go through the collection, especially items in storage and create exhibits of their reactions. Again, I think this is community building. The Drury students came up with the idea for the House of Art(s). Art House Baltimore is the name of the project.It

The study came from the public-private Purple Line Corridor Coalition, a group composed of government officials, community activists, nonprofits, companies and academics. The group organized in 2013 to try to prevent the kind of displacement that has traditionally followed many Metro stations and new transit lines across the country.

That's pretty close to us, and Sugar House is where Sugar House Park is, where I'm on the board. There was an ice cream manufacturing plant, now slated for housing. But overall since the region's development paradigm is sprawl, drive ins are huge. Salt Lake. Needless to say, the local business advocacy group didn't agree.

The Asset Based Community Development Institute is a great resource, having published a number of workbooks (the ones out of print are available as free pdfs). Park Pride, the Atlanta area friends of the parks organization, has an annual conference. So does Friends of the Parks in Chicago.
