Sugar House Park is almost 70 years old, and has different planning needs compared to when the park was created. Items like vegetation and Parley's Creek were not covered thoroughly in the most recent (2008) master plan update process. When the park experienced flooding via Parley's Creek in 2023.

It's doing some great bike infrastructure, some of which we will be trying to get for the perimeter of Sugar House Park. Gosh, years ago I wrote about an approach to planning I called "action planning," focused on implementation, and to be successful included elements of social marketing and branding and identity.
