The scenario for this pandemic (excluding the recovery) was fully formulated over the period 2003-2009. There were major exercises on pandemics in 2005, 2007 and 2016. Plans were made in the UK in 2006, 2008, 2011 and 2014. I have taught it every year since then.

Rybak was elected Mayor of Minneapolis in 2001 and was re-elected again in 2005 to serve another term. He was also reelected in 2005 and again in 2009. Michael Patrick McGinn was elected the 52nd mayor of Seattle in November of 2009. She is the Hayward, California city manager and has worked in the office since 2006.

In 2005, I served on the advisory committee for the International Public Markets Conference which covered both DC and Baltimore that year, led a tour, etc. In 2009, I was appointed to serve on the Community Advisory Committee, representing the Eastern Market Preservation and Development Corporation. We did this in 2008 or 2009.
